Reason for treatments
Pathologies
NB: All pathologies should be checked by the vet and the animal referred for a manual therapy session.
In the case of an acute pathology, manual therapy can help with a quick and effective recovery. In the case of a chronic pathology, manual therapy will bring comfort to the animal. Pathologies can include torn ligaments, arthritis, muscle injury, sprain joint, back pain, dysplasia, IVDD and headshaking amongst others.
Performance
For dogs and horses practising any type of sport, manual therapy will help to make sure that the body is prepared and ready for performance. This can help reduce the occurrence of injuries.
Post-surgery
Whether it is to help with the healing of scar tissue or the building of muscle, manual therapy can be very helpful for an animal recovering from surgery.
Check-up
Small tensions or restrictions of movement can be invisible to the eye. However these small imbalances can create bigger issues in the future. Check ups and regular sessions can help rebalance the body and avoid these future issues.
